Breaking stereotypes and igniting power, A?ine Tyrrell is a force.
Artist, mother, sister + community-builder, Áine Tyrrell is grounded in song, story, and shared responsibility, creating music as both medicine + resistance, weaving culture, community, and social change into a living practice. A thought-provoking, fearless multi-instrumentalist songwriter, she defies labels + blends genres. At the heart of it all is her unmistakable voice, electric and intimate, stirring memory + reckoning while inviting us to rise, belong + build something braver for those who come after.
A woman with something to say, Áine’s live shows are compelling and unforgettable. Her solid stage presence blends spoken word, hip hop, acoustic guitar + ancient melody, moving seamlessly between power and vulnerability. Her music cradles the spirit of her native homeland, embodying an elated rhythm shaped by a thousand years of ancestry, slammed to the floorboard in celebration and protest. Her music fuses traditional Irish roots into a fierce and wild sonic, leaving you charged in potent fragile humanity.
A disruptor of old industry ways, Áine works across song, story, and independent platforms to open more empowered pathways. Through her long-running, Patreon-led community, she centres relationship over extraction and circle over hierarchy, modelling an artist-led future rooted in care and collective courage.
After more than a decade living and working on Bundjalung and Kulin lands in so-called Australia, Áine returned home to Ireland with a deepened commitment to land, solidarity, and collective responsibility. Her work challenges the global Irish diaspora, over 80 million strong, to reckon with inherited histories, particularly where Irish identity has been misused to undermine Indigenous justice. Collaborating across artists, cultures, and communities, she weaves circles together, strengthening collective power for global change.
2026 marks a defining chapter. Áine returns to Bundjalung Country on the main lineup at Bluesfest Byron Bay alongside globally revered artists, tours Ireland leading up to release of her landmark album MISE ÉIRE in May 2026. With major collaborations unfolding and a growing international audience, her work continues to expand in reach and resonance.
Hailed as “a force” by The Irish Times, Áine Tyrrell is forging an artist-led path rooted in courage, connection, and the belief that art can move us forward.
