Fresh from a stellar summer of shows and building buzz, CMAT has announced her big Irish headline gigs to date. The breakout star and her Very Sexy CMAT Band will play Virgin Media Park, Cork on June 20th, 2026 – following a run of sold out dates that includes headlines at the 3 Arena and London’s O2 Academy Brixton.
Her third album EURO-COUNTRY is released the following day, Friday 29th August - it features the singles Running/Planning, The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station and Take A Sexy Picture Of Me, one of the biggest songs of the summer. The record dives deep into themes of economics, identity, fame and grief, all wrapped in CMAT’s unique blend of humour, drama and killer songwriting.
Despite this being only her third album, CMAT feels culturally omnipresent. EURO-COUNTRY follows 2023’s acclaimed Crazymad, For Me, which earned her widespread recognition including a BRIT nomination for Best International Artist, and ‘Album of the Year’ nods from The Ivors, Mercury Prize and Ireland’s Choice Music Prize (which she won for her debut If My Wife New I’d Be Dead).
Press, radio and TV have all championed her rise – with five-star reviews, playlisting, covers, Maida Vale sessions and appearances on Jools Holland, The Graham Norton Show and more.
Her relentless touring with The Very Sexy CMAT Band has only reinforced her rep as one of the best live acts around - with huge sets at the likes of Glastonbury, Green Man and Primavera this summer.
CMAT says: “EURO-COUNTRY is, I think, the best thing I have ever made. I felt halfway through recording it was the most important record I’ve made for myself… mainly because it was making me go crazy.”
“I'm always going to make the work I want to make, because there is a little gremlin in my head that tells me if it’s shit. More than success, there’s a bigger gremlin that wants me to make music that’s really good. She’s brutal and has ruined my life at times, but she is the keeper of my life and she’s always right.”
