After over 40 years together, Aslan suffered the sad loss of their front man, Christy. Joe, Alan and Billy decided to continue their journey to keep their band, songs and music alive.
At the end of 2023, Joe, Alan and Billy welcomed Lee Tomkins as their new frontman. Lee, a musician, singer and songwriter, within his own right, brought a completely different feel to the band and for the band, this was very important.
Aslan began their new journey, in Cyprus Avenue in Cork and played Wexford, Waterford and two sold out nights at Whelans in Dublin. Their journey continued, taking them on tour in Australia and UK. On their return from Australia, they were asked by Chris Martin of Coldplay to perform ASLAN’s hit song, Crazy World with Coldplay, for two nights in Croke Park, to 82,300 people.
They played Electric Picnic for the first time in the bands history on the Salty Dog stage to thousands! Since, they have performed at The Academy in Dublin, Gleneagle Arena in Kerry and a very special gig at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre. They released their new single, “Hear Your Call” in March 2025.
